Sheriff Daniel G. Zeigler's Biography
Sheriff Daniel G. Zeigler has a 24-year career in the Criminal Justice field and started employment with Carbon County Sheriff's Office in August 2020.
Sheriff Zeigler has an extensive background in the Juvenile Justice system, having served in executive-level positions from 1998-2012. He also provided consulting services to several Pennsylvania and New York agencies focused on creating organizational change and trauma-informed care environments.
Much of his career has focused on improving safety, efficiency, and effectiveness in operations. As Sheriff, he maintains his laser focus on serving the community with integrity and honor. He hopes to increase the Sheriff's Office’s visibility throughout Carbon County communities so he may meet the needs of those who need it most. He also hopes to improve relationships with all County Departments and local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
Sheriff Daniel G. Zeigler, MPA is a Panther Valley High School graduate. He holds a BA in the Administration of Justice from the Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s Degree with
distinction in Public Administration from Devry University. He has also obtained his Act 2 Certification from the Sheriff and Deputy Sheriff Academy.
