License To Sell Firearms
Pennsylvania permits the Sheriff of Carbon County to issue all applications for a License To Sell Firearms. Prior to obtaining the license the individual needs to already have a Federal Firearms License (FFL) and needs to bring it with them.
Interested applicants should come to the Sheriff's Office with their FFL and complete an application when they arrive. The Sheriff's Office will then contact the Pennsylvania State Police Firearms Division to ensure the FFL number is valid. If all checks come back clear the Sheriff's Office will issue the license for a period of 3 years. The cost is $57.00.
The Sheriff can revoke any License to Sell Firearms at anytime for any violation under Title 18 Section 61, Pennsylvania Uniform Firearms Act.
APPLICATIONS CANNOT BE PROCESSED BY MAIL, THE APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN THE OFFICE BY THE APPLICANT.
